Now look here, guys and gals: we take our town's laws very seriously. We don't want to be party poopers, but we don't want our nice little town to have havoc wreaked upon it either. So please keep these rules in mind while you're out and about in Raccolto.
Respect.
Respect each other--everyone is putting in the effort to apply and be involved with the group.
Respect the mods--we are working hard to keep the group fun & fair!
Respect guests and newer members--they might not understand what is going on or how the social aspects of the group work.
Members should be kind, courteous, and respectful of one another no matter which walk of life they come from. Trolling, not listening to mods, disrespecting someone's boundaries, disrespecting religion/culture/race/sexualities, and general crass behavior will earn strikes.
Listen to the mods.
Mods put in a lot of their time and effort into running and developing the group to make it an enjoyable environment. Helping them by following the Rules and paying attention to journals, announcements, instructions, etc. is beneficial to everyone in the long run. Mods spend less time keeping order and members spend more time enjoying the game.
If mods make a ruling on something, concerns can be expressed via tickets, but ultimately the mod decision should be respected.
Questions about the group should be noted to the group itself.
Please not to ask the mods about group info through messaging them directly, commenting on their account pages, or beyond discord.
As an exception: you are welcome to contact moderators privately for other matters defined below.*
If you cannot find information after searching here on the website (using the search function up top!) please feel free to send a note in to the group for clarification.
Asking questions about simple mechanics in discord can wear on mods and fellow members alike, and while it is fine on occasion, especially after big changes, please try and make use of this website or previously answered questions in #got-questions! Mods also leave posts in #change-log anytime there are notable changes to the group or mechanics.
Concerns and Complaints.
Concerns and complaints should be noted to the group using one of the communication forms found here.
If you are unsure about noting the group for all of the mods to see, you are encouraged to contact a moderator you trust. We will always keep your identity concealed unless you give us permission to reference you.
We want to help our members in any way we can, but we have to be told about it first.
We have a ticket system in the channel #submit-a-ticket on discord under the 'Harvest Lunatone' section. This allows you to enter into a private chat with the mods (which will also save a log afterward) and discuss any issues or difficulties you might be having, or concerns about behavior you have seen. Once everything is resolved, the ticket will be closed and a log will be saved!
This can be a good method if someone is comfortable discussing with more than one mod (though if it's a simple-to-handle concern, only one or two mods may chime in, to avoid overwhelming the member), and wants a bit more space and privacy than error-reports chat, and more timeliness than sending a note using our google forms.
If you do not want your username to be attached to a complaint or concern, they may be submitted via the anonymous Feedback Form!
This is checked regularly by the mods, so we will be aware of any concerns left here, and we will try to address them as we are able. However, it can be more difficult to resolve issues if we don't have a way to contact you about it when more info is needed. You can attach your username to this if you would like a response.
Use common sense.
Everyone is allowed to make mistakes, but make sure to use your common sense. Behave civilly and keep communication open to others.
No multiple accounts allowed.
Playing Harvest-Lunatone under multiple accounts is not allowed. It is unfair to other players and will earn you two strikes as well as all but one account being banned.
Keep submissions & roleplay PG-13.
The chats are rated PG-13, the submissions for this group should be rated the same or under. The ratings should be used as a guideline, as not everything listed as PG or PG-13 is necessarily allowed in the group. You may surpass this rating in private role-plays, in your own image galleries, or in the HL Eclipse Discord Server which allows anything from sketches to mature art. (Please note the group or ask a mod to be added to this discord server!) Those pieces simply will not be allowed in the group’s gallery or public chat rooms.
Drawings (or text) that is explicitly or suggestively sexual in manner will not be allowed in the group.
We retain a PG 13 rating with our submissions, which means we do not allow:
excessive profanity
the show of nor the suggestion of serious violence (bloodshed, abuse, harrassment, active violence)
more than partial-nudity
sexual content in the gallery or chat rooms (including on- and off-site links to material defined above)
Privacy
Please refrain from disclosing sensitive information about others in the chat. This includes things like full names, pictures, addresses, health history, and IDs.
Activity Checks
These are every six months and require a single submission. For further details, check the Activity Requirements.
When making changes to your character or your character's history, please note the group first with the changes for approval. Because your character is what we review to accept members, we want to be sure that any changes are legal to the group.
All genders, sexualities, and races are allowed and welcomed in this group. Do not harass, flame, or attack members. Additionally, we do not endorse in-character harassment.
Join the Discord server!
Please be sure to read all pinned posts.
Do not spam.
Spamming text, icons, emoticons, links, etc. will cause you to be Silenced or Banned from chats for a period of time.
Do not interrupt.
Do not simply interrupt a roleplay that is already going on. Instead, ask the participants if they would be willing to include you.
Differentiate between In-Character (IC) & Out-of-Character (OOC). (roleplay chat only)
Please use Brackets (such as (()), [[]], or {{}}) to identify that you are talking OOC.
Do not use the main chatroom for roleplaying, OOC-roleplaying, etc.
It is there for members to mingle and chat with one another or to plan or discuss ongoing roleplays.
The same goes for the roleplaying chatroom. Please keep OOC-chatter to a minimum so as to not clutter up the chat for those RPing. We also utilize forums in discord to contain roleplays in their own, easy to access and read spaces.
Refrain from posting sensitive content in the OOC chat
Harvest Lunatone is a light-hearted Art Roleplay Group; Please be mindful of this fact, and refrain from posting about active, real-life disasters and tragedies, and their fallout.
Exemptions from this rule include users who are personally experiencing a disaster and giving updates on their well-being, and for those organizing small fundraising efforts in the appropriate channel.
God-modding, Power-playing and Meta- or Power-gaming are not allowed.
These show poor writing and collaboration skills and make situations unfair to other participants. If you are unsure about further actions, communicate with your partner/(s) about what possible ways the roleplay may branch off into and what would be most In-Character (IC) for them all.
Do not kill.
This also includes: attacks with intent to kill or severely harm another's character in a way that could lead to death or serious injury.
PG-13.
A reminder of our PG-13 rating: keep public roleplays compliant to our standard. This includes cursing, physical violence, romantic relationships, blood or gore, etc.
Avoid excessive physical violence & drama.
Fighting should be kept to a minimum. We understand that there are arguments and conflict now and then, but the focus of a slice-of-life group is not fighting.
Conflict is what stories are made of, of course, but try to keep it to a reasonable, realistic amount.
No tracing, thieving, or basing is allowed.
Always try to put as much effort into all of your own work as possible. Whether your art is exceptional, or if you're just starting to draw, we want to see you improve! Any form of theft is grounds for banning from the group. This includes: art theft, tracing, design/character theft, etc.
The use of bases not intended for use in the group is not allowed and you will receive a warning.
If you have referenced from an image, please link the reference. Even the old masters used reference!
Outside artwork, or art by other members is allowed on Applications and Special Event reference pieces.
Credit to the artist MUST be linked explicitly and clearly in the artwork's description wherever it is posted, and in the submission form when you submit to the group.
The member submitting this character would not get PD for the artwork (only the written portion) but if a fellow member does the artwork, they will earn PD.
Group currency or items cannot be exchanged for this artwork. We ask that group currency or items for outside groups the members have in common also not be exchanged as a reward.
Special events that call for reference pieces (like the Cirque de la Lune and Isle Competition, among others) can also have reference artwork by other artists uploaded for a visual to offer for cameos. This is only applicable for the reference piece, and again, if a fellow member does the artwork, they will earn the PD. All other rules for these events follow the above points.
A notice on the use of Generative AI within this group
As Generative AI gains popularity we would like to make clear that we do NOT allow Generative AI to be used in this group. This counts for writing as well as visuals.
What you do in private is none of our business but anything submitted that is created with GenAI cannot and will not be graded. We will treat it as submitting art/writing not created by you without proper credits given. This will result in a warning followed by a ban if the activity is not ceased.
Using the GenAI tool provided by Discord to remix pictures of other members will result in a ban from the server.
To clarify, tools like autocorrect or syntax correction tools for writing and things like dust removals in visual programs are not affected by this.
PG-13.
A reminder of our PG-13 rating: keep any submissions to the gallery compliant to our standard. This includes cursing, physical violence, romantic relationships, blood or gore, etc.
Winning contests.
Any member that wins a contest one year cannot enter the same contest the next year, regardless of the character they entered with previously. Winners from the previous year are still welcome to create something for the event next year, but they will not be able to submit it for voting (they will however still get event bonus PD).
During a previous winner's "gap year," the mod team will extend an invitation for them to be a guest judge and earn the title Guest Judge.
The event job items Billboard, Luxury toolkit, and Grand Compost Bin can only be earned once by each character. If a character already has one, they may not win another in a competition, though they can still enter to win any associated title. In the event they win the competition, the prize item will go to the second place winner.
Warning
Members will receive a formal warning for misconduct directly from either a mod or the Harvest Goddess account on discord. This is not a direct punishment, but an indication that any further pushing on the rules or misbehavior will be taken much more seriously. Good behavior over time will cause this warning to lapse, but they are not recorded like Strikes are.
Serious misconduct or abuse of the rules could skip the warning stage altogether.
Silencing
A temporary measure where we stop you from posting in the discord chat rooms. Please see this as time to reflect on behavior or actions that led to the temporary silence, and consider ways to improve. A silence will come with a countdown on discord that shows how much longer you must wait, and this information will also be given to you upfront.
We will not make this punishment public knowledge out of respect for your privacy, but you are allowed to disclose it to others. Sending unwelcome DMs that inflame the issue that led to the silence, or harrass other members, may be grounds for more severe punishment.
Strike
Three strikes translates to a ban. Strikes are given for ignoring of the rules and for continuous misbehavior. Strikes may be removed when the mods notice good behavior over time. Again, this will not be made public knowledge, but you are allowed to inquire about your strike status with the mod team, as well as disclose if you have recieved a ban with other members if you choose.
Banning
You're out of the group, permanently. No if, ands, or buts about it.
