There are many ways to get Pokemon in Harvest Lunatone! Here are the common ways, and links to more information about them.
Fossils can be found in the mines, and they only take the submission of a note to the group to be revived into their living forms! Galarian fossil pokemon require both fossil to be revived. Fossil pokemon always start at base form. Fossil pokemon cannot breed, but eggs of these pokemon are sometimes found in random egg prizes.
Fossil Pokemon can be Starter Pokemon without needing to use an item!
Hatching pokemon from eggs is free, most of the time (exceptions listed below). Two submissions- one depicting a character caring for the egg, and the other showing the pokemon hatching free- are required in order to hatch a pokemon. These should be linked in the note requesting to add the hatched pokemon to a slot. Special eggs may only require one submission, but this will be noted at time of aquisition.
Hatching into pet, ranch, and farm slots is free.
Hatching into a Utility Slot requires 3,000PD for the training.
Hatching into a business or mount slot costs the training fee associated with those slots.
Business mon aquired via egg hatching cost 1,000 PD. Hatching into a mount slot costs 2,000 PD.
More information can be found on the Hatching section of the Your Pokemon page
Catching a pokemon from the mines or trails requires the member to reach a certain point on those journeys to unlock the pokemon desired. Then, a 2,000 PD cost for a pokeball (can be purchased in bulk as well), and a submission of the character interacting with the pokemon can be linked in a note, alongside the name and gender of the pokemon. Pokemon are caught at their first stage.
Pokemon can be captured anywhere in Raccolto once unlocked.
Mine pokemon are arranged by type, and dual type pokemon must have the mine level of both mines explored before they can be caught.
Alolan pokemon are split between Clamperl Cove and Snowfall Inlet. Galarian pokemon are on Cin City, and Paldean pokemon are on Astray Isle. The trails each have a special area for capturing pokemon, but this is not required as an exploration point for either capture or trail progress.
Paradox and Hisuian pokemon are found in the Space-Time Catacombs at the end of the mines.
Ultra Beasts are caught using a Safari Ball after being interacted with in two separate pieces.
The Safari Zone has a rotating list of pokemon available to be caught each month, as well as one Gigantamax den and one Mega pokemon available each month.
Safari pokemon must be caught with a safari ball, which costs 3,000 PD. Only one safari trip may be made per month for these pokemon.
Gigantamax and Mega pokemon require a collab of at least 2 people. Only one attempt at each can be made each month. More information on these captures can be found on the Safari Zone page
Requirements for submissions used for capturing pokemon found in the above locations can be found on those pages!
Pokemon can be purchased for Utility slots, mount slots, and job slots.
All Slots cost 3000PD. The 4th Slot is earned by upgrading your character's home to Family size, the 5th slot is earned by aquiring the 3rd Mark for Vacation Homes. Slots must be purchased in order. The slots and their benefits are as follows:
All job and home upgrades cost 250 PD less. Please mention this bonus in upgrade notes. Additional properties and purchases do not apply.

All work submissions earn double produce.

There are flying, ground, and surf mounts. A list of the mounts is available on the Your Pokemon page.
Ranch pokemon cost 1,000 PD, and more info on them is found on the Ranching page.
Business assistants can be purchased outright for 2,000 PD, but must still have an assistant application form submitted describing how they will work in the business. That form can be found on the Businesses page. If hatched or switched into the slot the fee is 1,000PD
Farm pokemon can be purchased for 3,000 PD, except for Shuckle, which may be purchased for 1,000 PD. The list of farm pokemon and their produce may be found on the Farming page.
