Trading Post

Do you have an egg you just aren't ready to care for and don't want to put it up for adoption? Maybe you need a few gold ores but just don't feel up to digging in the mines? Sometimes finding the right ingredients for a potion can be hard, especially when you just don’t know how to do the job!

For these hard times, you may consider trading with someone else.

Trades may be found in our discord's #trading-post channel.

• If you see an open trade you would like to discuss or offer on, please start a thread to discuss it with the member offering! This will help to keep the channel clean so all trades can easily be found. 

• You may bump your trade if you would like to, but please wait a bit before doing so, and be sure to edit in any updates or changes.

• Once your trade is fully completed, feel free to delete the post, or strikethrough the text with ~~ on either side of it so everyone knows it is done. We reccomend not deleting a trade post until the trade has been processed by the mods. 

Amir's Trading Bazaar

Hello, hello, one and all! Amir, the wandering salesman has meandered back to the Raccolto island chain once more! His travels stretch far and wide across the globe! From the exotic Kanto to the urban Unova, and beyond!

Ore & Treasures

Due to his travels, you see, Amir doesn't have much interest in your regular currency. Most of his trades are exclusively done in ores! Where can you obtain these? By visiting the Mines!

In the Mines you can find...

•  Junk Ore

• Iron Ore

• Silver Ore

• Gold Ore

• Mythril Ore

• Orichalcum

• Amir will also accept Harvest Sprite Slippers as a replacement for any ore when trading with him!

So, don't be shy now! Examine his wares and make as many trades as you like! Leave a comment in the thread #trades-with-amir on discord with which item you want, and to which character it will go. Be sure to tag @LumpyPotato so mods will see it!

• Not in the discord? No problem! These trades can also be completed using the trading form listed up top on this page! 

• Only one uncommon or rare item can be purchased at a time, but there is plenty in stock for all.  

• If you purchase a Rare Item, you will be placed on a cooldown for 6 months. If you purchase an Uncommon Item you will be placed on a 1 month Cooldown. The cooldowns will be listed on the Cooldown tab of the above link.

• While you are on a cooldown you cannot purchase ANY Uncommon or Rare Items. However you CAN still purchase Common Items!

Wonder Egg Exchange

With a none-too-small disbursement from our generous Raccolto residents in 2024, Amir has expanded his horizons on what materials he wishes to barter with: Amir will give you an egg- for an egg! 

Any hatchable Pokemon egg you acquire during you time in Raccolto is eligible to be given to Amir, which will then be swapped with an entirely new Pokemon Egg! This new mechanic comes with its own set of rules, of course.

However Amir also very generously checks Eggs you own on whether they will hatch shiny! Simply Send a note or post in the channel with the Wonder Egg Exchange to shiny check an Egg! You can also do this for fossils!

• There’s only so many eggs that Amir can switch out for you at a time, of course. He isn't just pulling these out of thin air!  You can exchange up to 5 eggs a month. However, the cooldown period is not counted by the day, only by months. If you exchange 5 eggs on the 31st of May at 23:59 PM, then you are perfectly welcome to immediately throw those back in one minute later, on June 1st 00:00 AM. 

• This mechanic is entirely luck based. Every egg exchange gets a randomly generated number, which is connected to a corresponding (eligible) Pokemon. You could get something very cool for a dud egg… or, you could be cursed to sit a whole month with an egg you want even less. Amir is not responsible for any immeasurable disappointment or ruined days- he’s just here to swap out eggs. 

• If you send out an egg that has a special status (like being Shiny, or being a Type egg), the egg you receive in exchange will not automatically have that status. Amir’s eggs can have the Shiny Roll chances applied to them if mentioned in the exchange note- but if you do not ask for a Shiny Roll (at some point, don’t be scared if you forget!), then none of the eggs have any chance of being Shiny, regardless of what you exchanged it with. If you sent out your Shiny Beldum egg and get a regular Magikarp egg… them’s the breaks

• Most Pokemon you can catch under normal circumstances in the group can be found in Amir’s Egg Exchange (Eggs-change?), but some eggs are entirely too risky or rare for Amir to get his hands on; You will not be finding the eggs of Paradox Pokemon or Ultra Beasts in Amir’s exchange. If you want a sparkly roach or a pet robo-moth, you’re gonna have to go get it yourself!
