FARMING
FARMING
It may seem a little boring to draw your character planting or harvesting over and over again, but let your creativity flow! There are more facets to farming than what meets the eye. How about making a scarecrow to keep unwanted thieves away? Or maybe some vermin needs to be taken care of? Provide some others with your vegetables, 'sell' them at the market or prepare them for a transport. Don't limit yourself to drawing the same kind of pictures again and again. As long as crops are included in the picture (even if they are not the focus), it counts towards their growth.
Work must be at least flat colors with a simple scene or around 500 words with your resident included. Crops may not be copy and pasted!
If you were to do a comic you would gain Work Items for every panel that meets minimum requirements. If you were to do writing, you would gain one item every 500 words. If you were to do a RP, the Farm Owner would receive Work Items for every 250 words per Participant (example, every 500 words for 2 people, every 750 words for 3 people, 1000 words for 4 people and so on.)
Pokemon and Plants need to be evenly featured in writing/RPs to produce Work Items (mentioning a Skiploom in a single sentence for a 5000 words submission will not get you more than 1 Cotton.). For Plants, you need to have the corresponding amount of Seeds in your inventory (example: You have a Medium Farm and 10 Plots of Land. You have 30 Rose Seeds. You write a 5000 word submission, this will only yield you 30 full grown roses)
While the correct amount of crops should be featured, it is up to you whether you want to, for example, depict 30 bushes with vague berries, or a single bush with 30 lovingly rendered berries.
RPs can count toward work pieces, but only the member who is involved with the job can submit and earn produce for the work piece. Both members will still earn PD for the roleplay.
One benefit of marriage is the allowance of collaboration on work-related pieces. However, only one member of the couple will get the work produce. (ex. Spouse A owns a farm, Spouse B owns a ranch. Spouse A makes a sketch of their strawberries, Spouse B colors the sketch. Spouse A would submit the piece because they own the farm, and Spouse A would get the strawberries.)
Work submissions are submitted using our submission form. Be sure to mark all applicable bonuses to ensure you receive the correct produce for your hard work!
Farmers are, as the name implies, people who specialize on farming crops. These industrious folk are the ones growing plants in Raccolto. By upgrading your farm, a farmer can grow more crops, which will be shown off on the Inventory page, as well as allowing your character to have that crop in-game. A Farm upgrade will increase the amount of plots available, as well as the general richness of the soil.
Basic (default for Farmers) -- Poor soil quality, crops will have a hard time growing here. 6 plots and 2 Farming Pokemon available.
Medium -- Okay soil quality, crops won’t be affected by growing here. 10 plots and 4 Farming Pokemon available.
Large -- Normal soil quality, some crops will do pretty good here. 15 plots and 5 Farming Pokemon available.
Extra Large -- Nice soil quality, plants will grow well here. 20 plots and 6 Farming Pokemon available.
Gigantic -- Amazing soil quality, crops will thrive at this type of farm. 30 plots and 7 Farming Pokemon available.
The crops available to farmers must be purchased as seeds, and once they are, they must be drawn to grow before the season ends. Farmers can plant any of the Crop Types alongside each other. You have 5 Apple seeds and 5 Carrots? Draw them together to get both these Produce!

Shuckle
When produce is stored in its vase-like shell, Shuckle can produce a variety of refined items for Farmers. It is considered a Farming Pokémon, but only available in limited quantity on each farm based on farm size.
*If you farmer produce in your inventory, you may note the group with a link to a submission featuring your Shuckle at work, and tell us which produce is going to be refined. Shuckle will produce pickled crops and perfumes, while Mature Shuckle will additionally produce juice, powder, flour and spice blends.
*It takes three of the same produce to make a processed item. See the list below for specifics.
**Mature Shuckle are Shuckle with 3 or 4 hearts on their Animal Tracker. Please note the group when you would like to make them Mature.
Young Shuckle:
3 Crops = 1 Pickled Crop
3 Flowers = 1 Perfume
Mature Shuckle:
3 Crops = 1 Pickled Crop
3 Flowers = 1 Perfume
3 Orchard Crops = 1 Juice
3 Mushrooms = 1 Powder
3 Grains = 1 Flour
3 Herbs = 1 Spice Blend
3 Mix and Match Produce = 1 Wine
3 of the same Refined Items = G. Pickled Crops/ Perfume/ Juice/ Powder/ Flour/ Spice Blend
3 Mix and Match Refined Items = Golden Wine
Farm Helpers
Unique to farmers are a group of Pokémon that provide their own produce! They require extensive knowledge on plants to raise and can appear alongside your farmer as they grow their own crops on the farm.
Tillers are essential when you want to prepare the soil for the next harvest. Their strength can even uncover coins buried deep underground!
Rare Pokémon
Out in the world are incredibly rare and powerful creatures that are vicious as they are special. Nevertheless, some farmers believe their frightening strength would benefit their farms, they only need to figure out how to tame them. Arrokuda Acquisitions supposedly found instructors to make it possible...

Now, your character gets to start out with a basic farm. But don’t you want more for your character? Here is a list of things you can buy!
Please note, all upgrades build on top of the other: That is, you can’t buy a Large Farm without first having paid for a Medium Farm.
To buy something, send a note to the group. Make sure to tell us what you want to buy and your character's name. If you have enough PD, it will be added to your character's inventory.
When purchasing a pokemon, please give it a name and a gender.
Basic Farm -- Default (6 Plots available & 2 Farm Pokemon available)
Medium Farm Upgrade --1,000 (10 Plots available & 4 Farm Pokemon available)
Large Farm Upgrade -- 3,000 (15 Plots available & 5 Farm Pokemon available)

*Greenhouse -- 10,000 (half of current size plots, can grow crops out of season)
*Grand Compost Bin -- Event Item (Can also be purchased with Community Points)
A true masterpiece in mulch making, this compost bin can provide a farmer's crops with all the essential nutrients they need and more! When used on a desired plant it can grow to gigantic proportions or become so hearty it turns solid gold! Only one crop can benefit from the compost bin at a time and must be used throughout its growing stages for the ultimate results. These items will be labeled as G. *crop name here in the inventory and you are free to depict it as either giant or golden!

-- A limit of 3 Shuckles per farm depending on farm size.
-- Basic Farm = 1, Large Farm = 2, Gigantic Farm = 3

Third Career (Basic Farm, Basic Ranch, Basic Business) -- 20,000

-- Each career path can purchase additional properties. Properties cannot be shared, even if they are for the same job-type.
* Exceptions are the Stable, Flower Garden, and Event Only Properties.
When Shuckle craft juice, do they produce a specific juice?
What the Shuckle specifically create is completely up to you. It is not limited to juice. You can draw, write or interpret it to be wine, vinegar, expresso, etc.
Can I grow multiple crops between all my farms?
Nope. If your character has multiple farms only one can be focused on at a time. Crops grown in one farm will remain in it until harvested and will be documented as such.
Can I have Farm Helpers from one farm help in another for produce?
Also no. You may include Pokemon from an additional farm in a submission, but they will not provide any farm produce, only PD.
Have a question about Farming? Ask in the Questions chat, and we will add the information to the page.
