Duncan McRae landed a fresh run Sea Trout in the region of 5lbs on the Tarves beat on Thursday night. With the high water last weekend most of the Sea Trout have moved to the upper reaches of the Ythan, Gight and Fyvie. Hopefully the next decent water rise will tempt some Salmon to run the seal gauntlet.

Jim Adie, Mike Stewart and myself have been working on the banks below Ythanbank bridge. Jim has levelled the banks on the lower section and cut the banks to waters edge.

Mike, Paul Jowitt and myself have strimmed other sections below Ythanbank, there is a small section still to be strimmed if anybody has some spare time. A big thanks to Jim, Mike and Paul.

Reminder, the third Rainbow competition is on Sunday 3rd September, sign in 9 am, look forward to seeing as many members as possible
