15th Sept 2017

Jim Adie has completed the last cut of the banks for this season, the banks have been cut from Gight to the end of the Tarves water, there are two small sections on the Tarves beat that require repairs before the banks can be cut with the trimmer, hopefully next year we can get them into order. Our thanks to Jim for his work this year.

A bit more action on the fishing, Graham Allen landed 3 sea trout and lost another on Wednesday, Duncan McRae landed 1 sea trout on Tuesday the 5th Sept plus a fresh run 12lb Salmon and a sea trout on Friday 8th Sept.

This morning the water was dropping off nicely until about 10.30 when it started to rise again, hopefully after today it will start to settle and clear. Next week shows all the signs of being good.

The water bailiff’s have been active on the Methlick beat this week, remember to carry your permit.

Tight lines.
