16th October 2017

Weather conditions were in our favour in the morning, after lunch the wind increased for a couple of hours before it died down again. A total of 11 members attended, unfortunately 2 members had to return home urgently before the start, hopefully all is well.

We had some excellent fishing, a total of 49 hard fighting fish being landed.

Congratulations to the winners, first Fred Hay, second place to Jim Adie and third place to Kevin Duguid

Forgue outing

Since the water rise in September the number of reported Salmon landed in our waters is 23,

this figure is not accurate, only word of mouth reports, there could be more.

Today it is raining hard, normally after this type of weather we should have a good height of water until the end of season.

The high water should see the Gight beat come into prime condition, hopefully giving up some nice big silver backenders.

Over the last two weeks of the season, I would be grateful to members if they would e-mail me a photograph of any Salmon you have caught on our waters, naming the beat and pool caught on. The photograph must be at the riverside and if possible include the fisher. E-mail sandymarlyn@zoho.com

Have a successful last two weeks of 2017
