A big thanks to the club members who took part in the Forgue Rainbow Trout fishing competition.

Once again we had difficult fishing conditions. As the day progressed the wind picked up stopping the fish from rising. To add to the wind the water was still slightly coloured from the recent heavy rain.

Despite the conditions, a total of 35 fish were landed, the largest fish 3 lbs 12oz was caught by Matthew Wallace.

The next Rainbow Trout competition is usually towards the end of August, we will advise you of the date and venue as soon as possible, it would be great to have a large turnout of members to the competition.
