The 2019 season saw an improvement in catches from the previous year. Although the river was low for most of the season sufficient rain fell near the end of the season, when most fish were caught, to bring some fish up to the HHAC beats.

2018 catch report 2 Salmon 4 Sea Trout 8 Finnock

Due to abnormally low water conditions between May and the end of October, resulted in the club having its worst catch returns, river levels stayed below normal summer levels right through from May until the last three days of the season in October. When the water did rise at the end of October it only returned to normal summer level, resulting in very few fish entering the fishing waters.


2017 catch report 43 Salmon 73 Sea Trout 109 Finnock

High water levels in the spring returned some good catches of Finnock on the fly, water level between April and the end of July was low resulting in only a few Sea Trout being landed. The rain fall during August, September and October allowed the fish to run the river giving the club a fairly good season .
