Effect: You mark a target for death at your hand, taking on the inexorable aspect of Sentinel and her angels as you embody the dreadful march of fate.
While this spell is maintained, whenever you move towards your chosen target you increase your Speed by 1. You can ignore difficult terrain and even intervening obstacles such as walls and magical barriers while doing this. While this spell is maintained, all attacks you make against the target have the Breaking tag.
Roll: Ruthless+Forceful (Threat [melee])
Range: Intimate
Effect: You make a melee attack with the Intimate tag against the target. If you are successful, you deal your martial damage and regain that much lost Strain.
Roll: Ruthless+Astute
Range: Self
Effect: You are granted the visage of Sentinel, your face covered by a blank bone mask. While the mask is solid bone, you can see through it, sensing the presence of everything with a soul within range 5. You can see through walls, thick fog and magical illusions without impediment, for nothing escapes the sight of Sentinel. This spell also reveals their weaknesses and the vulnerable edges of their being. While you are maintaining this spell, whenever you deal your Arcane Damage you roll your dice twice and may pick your preferred result.
Machines with an artificial intelligence (including those that serve(d) the Ironmind), artificial intelligence and any animal more psychologically complex than an insect all have souls, even if they are simple things.
Roll: Ruthless+Creative (12)
Range: 0
Effect: You simulate entropy and subject the target of this spell to an immediate process of false decay. When you cast this spell against an organic target, it is cast as Ossidise; against a machine target, Oxidise.
The target of the spell appears dead, although they are alive and well. Checking their pulse will yield no beat, diagnosing vital systems will show a complete shutdown and, if one checks, any attempts made to divine a presence of a soul will show that it has departed the body. This spell lasts indefinitely, and is broken when the person it is active upon moves in any way except to breathe.
When cast, you can choose the state of decay that you that the target appears in; in an organic creature, they can appear at any point of decay up to their skeletal remains. In a mechanical creature, they can appear up to a rusted, weathered shell with no innards.
Roll: Ruthless+Precise (Melee Threat)
Range: Engaged
Effect: You summon a spectral dagger that cuts at the very core of your target’s soul, sapping their spirit. Doing so comes at a terrible price, however.
When you cast this spell, if you are successful, both you and your target each suffer a Wound. If you are Critically Successful, you can instead choose to suffer one wound and roll your Arcane Mastery - the target suffers that many Wounds.
Roll: Ruthless+Empathetic (15)
Range: Intimate
Effect: This spell can be cast on any dead body. You may kneel or sit next to the body; the spell returns their spirit to the body, and you may ask it up to three questions. The spirit in the body will answer them to the best of its abilities. While the spirit cannot lie, if it is a former enemy or otherwise wants to obstruct you, it is able to tell half-truths, riddles or lie by omission. If the roll to cast this is critically successful choose one of these options:

The spirit must answer your questions as clearly and honestly as possible
Once you have used this spell on a body, it cannot be used on the same body again; the dead are reluctant to return from the Transcendent Circuit, and the spell is not strong enough to pull them from Sentinel’s grasp once again.
Roll: Ruthless+Defiant (20)
Range: Intimate
Effect: You can cast this spell on anyone who has died within the last two rounds, grabbing their soul before it reaches the Road of the Dead and returning it to their body. To call such a power to you puts a great strain upon your body, and you immediately gain a wound.
If you succeed, the character you target returns to life, unticks their Dying wound and their Strain is set as 1 below their maximum. If you are Critically Successful, they return to life, untick their Dying wound and their Strain is set as 0.
