Roleplay that takes place within an established business, residence, or group-controlled location carries additional responsibility and consequence.
These locations are not empty backdrops. They are lived-in spaces with owners, staff, regulars, wards, reputations, and histories. Each business or location has a NPC with a notecard in them. Those are the only employees that should be used for RP to enhance the scene along with player characters. If you would like to add NPC's to a scene please contact us before hand and we can provide them. Or envolve your own but at a minor scale not to be used in any major storyline role.
Any roleplay involving the following must be handled with care and communication:
Robbery or theft
Assault or murder
Destruction or damage of property
Sabotage, arson, or supernatural contamination
Any action that would realistically draw attention, investigation, or retaliation
All IC actions that have consequences that would affect other players should be informed to Leah or Dae so appropriate actions can be taken in regards to decoration, objects, notecards givers, etc.
If an establishment is player-owned or player-managed:
The owner or primary player must be informed before major actions are taken
Alternatively, they must be notified immediately after if it's an escalated event taking place, in which case the player cannot include/ harm NPC staff without OOC approval, and should be aware that there are cameras, witnesses etc unless it is a private space, like a hotel room
The owner has the right to respond in-character to events affecting their space, staff, or reputation
This ensures fairness and prevents storyline disruption without consent.
NPCs are not invisible.
Staff, guards, patrons, neighbors, and nearby factions will notice unusual activity
NPCs may react with fear, curiosity, resistance, or cooperation
They may provide witness accounts, rumors, clues, or misinformation depending on circumstances
Ignoring NPC presence or reactions may result in consequences, investigations.
If you are unsure whether an action requires coordination or consent, pause and ask. Staff are available to help shape events in a way that strengthens the story for everyone involved.
