While the  Gifted and the Supernaturals maneuver in the shadows of Savannah, the Unawakened humans form the majority of the city’s population. They live, work, and thrive amidst the rich cultural tapestry of Savannah, largely unaware of the intricate supernatural web that surrounds them. Yet, they are far from insignificant. The Unawakened provide the foundation upon which Savannah operates, their lives intertwined with the city’s mystical energy in ways they rarely suspect.

To the Unawakened, Savannah is a city of contradictions: elegant mansions and shadowy alleys, vibrant festivals and eerie silences, rich history and unexplained phenomena. For every haunted tale or mysterious disappearance, there is a perfectly rational explanation, or so they tell themselves. They are the lifeblood of the city, their daily routines and unshakable belief in the ordinary providing a semblance of stability in a world teetering on the edge of the extraordinary.

Some Unawakened, particularly artists, writers, and historians, possess a heightened sensitivity to the city’s energies. They capture glimpses of the supernatural in their work, often unknowingly recording truths hidden behind metaphors and creativity.

They are also responsible for shaping Savannah’s infrastructure, maintaining its historic charm, and preserving its legacy. This often places them unknowingly in the path of supernatural forces, particularly when renovations disturb ancient wards or uncover forgotten relics.

While most Unawakened Humans remain unaware, those who encounter the supernatural and become Awakened often form alliances or become tools for the Gifted and other Supernaturals, sometimes recruited as helpers or assistants.
