Lilith is the embodiment of independence, sexuality, and defiance against patriarchal or controlling systems. Often regarded as the mother of vampires, she represents the freedom of will, sensuality, and survival in the face of oppression.
She seduces, disrupts, and transforms life into something new yet twisted, death itself becoming a gateway to power. Her gifts allowed vampires to postpone death but at a price, binding their strength to the dark of night and a hunger for blood.
In the earliest days of humanity, Lilith, Adam's first wife, was a being of fierce independence and untamed power. Refusing to submit to Adam's will, Lilith was cast out of Eden by God and wandered the earth, aligning herself with the ancient forces of the night. This is how she became a Numina. She sought retribution not only against Adam but also against the very order of creation that sought to subjugate her.
Adam had two sons with Eve (his second wife): Cain and Abel. Lilith had a desire for revenge connected her to Cain, who too was cast out of Eden as the first murderer, who had slain his brother Abel out of jealousy and wrath.
When Cain was cast out from Eden by God, Lilith found him and nurtured his anger, transforming it into something darker, more profound. Together, their bond brought forth a lineage of beings cursed to roam in eternal night, sustained by the blood of the living. Lilith’s influence deepened Cain’s curse, granting him and his descendants longevity, powers of seduction, and the insatiable hunger for blood that marked them as vampires. From their union arose the bloodlines that would spread across the world, each carrying a spark of Lilith’s dark power and Cain’s eternal damnation.
