The Database Routines section is to assist the user in keep their database in the state of their liking.
Note the warning, “These changes are permanent”, so backup before you do anything in case you change your mind.
Each of the DNA Segments or Relative Data actions may require a source and Profile to be selected as well as the appropriate attributes in the DNA Segment Minimums area. Think ahead of what you want accomplished.
Note: When deleting chromosome data for all sources and profiles, all triangulation data will be deleted as well.
Note: All Database routines need a double click to initiate them.
Merges relative records where conditions are met - multiple steps taken, watch and read carefully. Be Patient.

Use with extreme caution as it is possible for unrelated people to be managed by the one person and thus have the same email, and for multiple matches to have identical names and be unrelated to each other.
First pass of the routine, the overlapping segments and common email address are examined, and the results are displayed
One the second pass, the overlapping segments and identical names are examined, and the results are displayed.
Recalculates the total cM and segment count for each relative in the database by profile. Does not affect Archived data.

Gives the option of also resetting the predicted relationship of each relative to the profile person. Be careful - this will change any adjustments that you have made to the relationship on the Relative List.

It is recommended to run this routine if you have deleted a profile to help clean up your database.
This routine can take an extended amount of time if you have a lot of relatives to delete. Be patient.
Deletes all relatives and DNA segments from the chosen source and profiles.
Backup First. Can be Source &/or Profile specific, or affect the entire database. No preview given.
Gives “Relative and DNA Segments data deleted” message when finished.
Gives Option to defrag database at the end of the process - answer Yes or No as desired.
This will permanently remove all Relatives - except Archived Only relatives - from the database that have no DNA segments. This can take some time depending on the size of your database - be patient.

When completed the number of Relatives Deleted is given.
Gives Option to defrag database when completed - answer Yes or No as desired.
Removes any True or False text listed in the Haplogroup fields that may have been erroneously imported.

Replaces any defined Old string in MRCA and Research Notes with the defined New string

Message at the end shows how many substitutions were made.
Sets the Relative Name on DNA Segments to the one listed on the Relative Record - it fixes it when something went wrong in a prior release or merge.
