2. Importing Data Details

The in-built templates currently cover the sources of 23andMe, Family Tree DNA (FTDNA), GedMatch, and My Heritage.

The different methods of downloads gather different information. All methods will gather Relative data and Chromosome data. Some download methods are able to provide Triangulation and or ICW data as well.

The following sections have been taken from the “Enter Import Instructions” that already exist in the tool and has added screen shots to the different steps. The organisation of this section is based on the major sections of the “Import Data Templates” as shown.

It is strongly recommended that you do a backup before or after every import.
