3. Click on the platform you are downloading for.
Note: The following set up details are Windows based. For Mac users, you will choose the “Mac Version” download. Mac installation instructions can be found above the relevant download link on the main website, on Installing and Updating on a Mac, and other tips can be found in the section Macintosh Tips.
4. Select your preferred download location and click “Save”.
5. Extract the “GMPro Setup.zip” file, and double click on the “GMPro Setup.exe” file to start installation.
6. Click “Yes” to the window that says, “Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device”.
7. Click Next
8. Accept the agreement and click “Next”
9. Decide where you want the files and click “Next”
10. Decide if you want a desktop icon and click “Next”
11. Click on “Install”
12. Click “Finish”
You can delete the .zip and .exe files if you choose to. Move the shortcut to the destination of your choice.
13. You will now be prompted to name your new database and select a location for it. You can leave the defaults, or change the database name and its location, your choice.
The default name for a database as of v2019r01 is “GMPDatabase_created_on_yyyy-mm-dd” where yyyy-mm-dd is the date you create the database.
14. A notification is typically displayed indicating that you are ready to go, click "OK"
Note: A directory will have been added to the Documents Library called “Genome Mate Pro. Initially it contains a file called “GMPOptions.txt”. Don’t move or alter this file.
Next step is to set up at least one Profile, and it is recommended to check the Options > App Settings area to enable automatic backup and check other settings
