Timeliness: The case study was last updated in 2022 in the spring time. This case study has also been aproved by two doctors both being lecturers i asume. There names being Dr Joseph Morgan Thesis Director and Dr rebekka King Thesis Comittee chair.

Relevance: A lot of the information in this case study can be linked to my own a good example of this is one of the headings being current soul know as Neon soul, what i can do with this is learn about modern soul thats being created to this day and how it has changed or wether there are any similaritys or if there completely different. The sourse is very helpful as i didnt know about modern soul very much and i know know there is a whole new subgenre and its called neon soul and the case study has artists i can reasearch and find ouut what got them into this kind of music and what inspired them and wether that is the origin of soul.

Accuracy: After looking at his sourses and were he got his information from i was able to fact checked he used truthful information. She also used a mixture of Primary and Secondary research. For example he had videos of interviews with some of the modern artists that have taking inspiration from soul music. The essay is also very well wrote and very formal and proper so i can tell it was written by a interlectrial human being. The site has a bibliography were all the websites and information they used for this project was kept and can be found at the bottom of the page.

Author: The author of this case study was Bernadette Comage. This peice of work was done for a final research project for her university project at Honors college of Middle tennessee state. This work was needed for her to graduate. They now are graduated from this university so shows this work is at a good level of work.

Purpose: The student decided to do this project for one of there open choice essays which means they have a lot of intrest in this project and you can tell this by the way they explain the kind of genres related to soul music. They also got a good grade for this project and she must have enjoyed doing this prject as there is so much information that she has soursed.

Timeliness: This video was recorded 5 years ago by a company called signed media, the video is infact facts as it is intervieweing a profesional artist who used soul music and mixed it with jazz and is seen as one of the pioneers of this unique genre changing. Gregpry porter is also one of the most famous modern artists who makes Jazz / soul music.

Relavance: This is some of the most relevant bits of information i need for my essay, the reason being is that my essay is on how soul music effects other genres and is still popular and hoew that is the case. Porter took soul music and murged it with jazz and made poular songs in the modern day and is one of the only artist in the modern era that hasnt had to create a new genre of soul or jazz to become popular and he just plays jazz music with soul vocals and is a extremely famous musican.

Accuracy: All of the information porter said ios facts as he was a pioneer of the subject and he explained how he transfered gospel music into soul. Hos wa of doing it was changing the love for god to a love for a person. You can also know that he has a lot of interlectual points and experience as he has been making this kind of music for over a decade.

Purpose: The reason the owner of the youtube page did this was gregory porters story of his creativity mixing of genres is why he is able to have such a large following becaise his music uses aspects of so many genres. They also wanted to know his foughts on the different catogrys of music and his belief is he hates it and you shouldnt have to choos and he explains that how new genres are created merging them and putting your own foughts into your music and thats why he loves soul music as it mixes with so many genres and always sounds beautiful.
