Im going to do some research into different ways to help me with my fmp for example song writting and releasing an EP. I have found three links that im going to put into my presentation and proposal that will help me with my research. The first link is a website that has 12 different songwriting techniques which i can use when creating my songs. Some of which being lyric writing techniques which is going to really help me.
In this week me and kyran went to the practice rooms to try and possible get one song finished as then we will have a head start and wont need to panic. We decided to start creating are pop song that me and kyran had already created a riff for. We also asked ollie if he wanted to help us out as he offerend to play bass with us for one session. as he wanted to improve his bass skills and he reallly liked the riff. As you can see in the video bellow Me and kyran are creating the bass line and then chow
Due to the fact that me and chow dont want to work together for different reasons is why I am starting a new FMP on my own. Ive decided to create a country 4 track EP, the reasons being I have a huge passion for this genre and not many people in my locval area and even country make this kind of music and its something im really intrested in doing for my future. As im now a few weeks behind ive started working on my songs as soon as possible And started contacting people to work with. I want to improve my guitar skills so i have been trying to create some chord progressions i can give to a guitarist to which we can improve with there skills as i am very limited. I started writting the first song on my track which i took inspiration from one opf my songs i used for a portfolio to get into uni however i hadnt planned on releasing it. Ive started of by using very common country related chords. Some of which being C, G, D and Fm. I started using the c chord shap and moving it up and down the strings with a kind of picking style which showed little aspects of slightly foke music.
