Always report broken blades to a teacher or mentor immediately
Keep fingers clear of the blade's path at all times
Your workpiece must be flat on the table, with both hands being used to control and guide it
Blade teeth must be facing down to cut properly
The scroll saw is for detailed, curved, or interior cuts, not for large stock cuts. Do not use a scroll saw to cut large stock
Guide the workpiece through the blade with two hands
Only adjust the saw when it's off and not moving
Clear scrap wood out of the saw with a brush and/or shop-vac after the machine is off and no longer moving.
Never use your hands to clean the scroll saw
A full 10/10 score is required on the quiz, you may retake it until you pass. Use both this page and the shop safety video as reference
