For corded tools, wrap up the cord without any kinks before placing them back in the proper location

Make sure that the tool is in working condition and the wires are not frayedÂ
Wrap up all wires after using the tools; make sure there are no loose cords that could be caught on something
Clamp your work piece down before using electric tools on it
When using a jigsaw, keep the cords out of the way of the blade; you don't want to cut the power source!
When using a drill, keep your hands away from the drill bit and keep your hands on the handle to provide more support
Unplug tools when not in use
Clean up tools before the meeting ends
