3rd meeting

27.05.2019 – Monday

In the morning the guests were welcomed by the teachers and students from the host school. They also visited some classrooms and places at school. The school was presented to them by the students. After that the guests were divided into three groups: the coordinators, the non-coordinators and the students. The first group met to show the activities which have been done after the meeting in Italy: Italian Day and national dances. The second group had dancing workshops to learn a Polish dance called “Trojak” and a Swedish dance called “Confederate”. The last group had two workshops. First, they made posters about history and culture of the country which has been chosen by each coordinator on the last meeting. Then, they were working on a time-laps sort of animation to present their home countries. After lunch there was a Polish-English performance prepared by the host school to present Polish history, traditional army songs, so as the dances from each partner country. After this activity the students had an integration party to meet the children from Poland.

28.05.2019 – Tuesday

On this day the guest were exploring Łódź, the 3rd largest city in Poland, also known as the Promised Land. They visited Cinema Museum to learn something about Polish film industry, history of Oscars awards and animation. Then they went to Lodz Film School which was graduated by famous actors and directors such as: Andrzej Wajda, Krzysztof Kieślowski, Roman Polański,Andrzej Munk, Krzysztof Zanussi and Marek Koterski . After lunch they visited the longest shopping street in Europe, Piotrkowska Street. It is famous not only for the shops but mostly for its historical buildings connected with the history of the cloth industry, the buildings and the monuments from 19th century.

29.05.2019 – Wednesday

This day was organized to visit Polish medieval city, Toruń, which is famous for traditional gingerbread and astronomy. The guests visited The Gingerbread Museum. They got to know the history of production of the traditional Polish gingerbread. They also had a chance to watch the legends about Toruń, so as try a famous gingerbread called Katarzynki. After lunch the group went to see the Copernicus House and the Polish Leaning Tower which was built by aTeutonic knight from Toruń as a penance for committed sins. The building, with a vertical deviation of about 1,5m, was a part of old Toruń’s fortifications. After it ceased to play a defensive role, it served as a prison, and later as a smithy.

30.05.2019 – Thursday

The guests visited the capital of Poland, Warsaw. On the way to this place the tourist guide was talking about some facts to show common roots between Poland, Bulgaria, Greece, Italy, Sweden and Turkey. The visit in Warsaw started with the historical and cultural walk around the most important landmarks. After lunch the guest could explore the Old Town and then they could improve their senses and do experiments at Copernicus Science Centre.

31.05.2019

After arriving to school the guests were divided into three groups: the coordinators, the non-coordinators and the students. The first group met to plan the activities for the next meeting. The second group had art workshop during which they learnt how to weave. The last group came earlier than the teachers and took part in two workshops. First, they learnt how to wave a bookmark. Then, they had dancing workshops to learn a Polish dance called “Trojak” and a Swedish dance called “Confederate”. After that they also had some sport activities. In the evening there was International Party during which songs from the partner countries were presented so as the guests had a chance to dance a Polish dance, “Trojak”, together with the host teachers and families.


01.06.2019 - Saturday

Most of the teams departed. The Bulgarian team had to stay one day longer (they had no flight connections on that day). The girls from Bulgaria took part in the celebrations organized by the host school which was prepared for the Children's Day. After these activities the host families took care of them and organized some good bye activities. The teachers had time to explore some more interesting places in Łódź, as the addition to the Tuesday's trip.

  • Turkey - 5 teachers (3 more than in the form) + 4 students (1 more than in the form)

  • teachers: 13 - should be 10 according to the form
  • students: 16 - should be 14 according to the form

To do list

1. Bulgaria, Greece, Italy, Sweden and Turkey will prepare Polish Day activities.

2. Th Bulgarian partner will prepare the evaluation after the 1st year of the project.

3. The dances will be presented on two meetings (in Greece and Sweden).

4. The partners will upload the photos in the project gallery.

5. Each partner school will prepare the rules of 2 national games so as the presentation of the Natural Monuments in their countries.
