Greek Day

During this day dedicated to Greece, did the students present their work that they prepared for two weeks. This was integrated in English lessons because it is part of the syllabus in the subject English. The students also made digital presentations instead of posters. The reasons for choosing digital tools, were mainly because the students wanted to think about the environment by not using papers and printing photos, and also because to use digital tools is a proficiency in the Swedish School system/ all subjects. The students were graded while doing their presentations and they showed great interest in the ancient Greek, history of some cities and other topics.

The students also requested to do research about the ancient Greek and its literature, and how the Greek ancient era has influenced the modern society of today. This is also part of the syllabus, both in subject History, Swedish and English.

The students who participated during this day, were students from the 9th grade, who also participate in this project. They researched about:

1. Important people of Greece (politicians, athletes, artists, scientists).

2. Cities in Greece and islands .

3. Traditional Greek meals.

4. Favourite Greek sports.

5. Ancient Greek and its literature.
