1st Transnational Project Meeting

Title of the project: “Finding our roots”

Wednesday - the 28th November 2018

After we arrived at school Paradisskolan, Trollhattan, in the morning, we met our new friends from the partner countries and then we visited the school, joined some classes and met the teachers and the students. After that we had our 1st Transnational Project Meeting. We discussed our educational systems to find similarities and differences.

In three days time of the visit we, all the coordinators, reviewed the form of the project according to the comments made by the experts from the Swedish National Agency and did some arrangements in two-year-period of the project based on the application form. We discussed LTT’s meetings in terms of:

- activities,

- number of pupils involved in the project and the mobilities,

- travel budget,

- duration of the meetings.

During this meeting we also:

- planned the dates of the mobilities:

a) Italy - 11th - 15th March 2019

b) Poland - 27 th - 31 st May 2019

c) Greece - 14th - 18th October 2019

d) Sweden - 20 th - 24 th January 2020

e) Bulgaria - 2nd - 6th March 2020

f) Turkey - 1st -5th June 2020;

-identified basic principles, methods and strategies for developing the action plan in order to address all the workshops and activities in the next years;

- set up means of communication (Google Drive - for the important files and arrangements and Viber to chat and keep in touch);

- shared experiences, challenges and technical knowledge on how to better address the planned activities, considering the need to discuss practical arrangements;

- created a survey that will be carried out before and after the short-term exchanges;

- specified the tasks which must be done to develop students’ skills during each meeting;

- planned the main topics of each project meeting:

a) C1 in Italy (not C2 after the changes in the budget made by the Swedish National Agency) - Traditional food

b) C2 in Poland (not C3 after the changes in the budget made by the Swedish National Agency) - Traditional dances

- C3 in Greece (not C4 after the changes in the budget made by the Swedish National Agency) - Natural monuments and traditional games

- C4 in Sweden (not C5 after the changes in the budget made by the Swedish National Agency) - National sports and their history / tradition

- C5 in Bulgaria (not C6 after the changes in the budget made by the Swedish National Agency) - Traditional customs (customs from the past which are forgotten)

-C6 in Turkey (not C7 after the changes in the budget made by the Swedish National Agency) - Traditional songs.

We will also have each of the following activities during the LTTs:

- presentation of traditional food, dances, songs, sports, customs, traditional games and natural monuments

- questionnaires based on all the topics above so as history and culture of the host country

- creative workshop on all the topics above

- International parties to integrate the children, teachers and host families

- trips to local museums and cultural sites (e.g.UNESCO world heritage) which will be ralated to the project objectives;

- culture in a box - before each LTT each country will gather information related to the topics of the meetings and bring them to the next meeting. The children will created films, posters out of them being divided into project teams.

All the coordinators agreed that eTwinning will be used for the dissemination only. All the materials we use, will be uploded on TwinSpace, the project website so as on the Facebook fanpage .

Budget:

The prices of the hotels and transportation will be send by every country to calculate the total budget of the mobilities. Responsibilities according to the countries are as follows:

-Sweden will pay for lunch for three days (if needed)

-Poland, Bulgaria, Greece, Italy and Turkey will pay for one lunch and one dinner for the others.

- While dividing the costs of stay of the guests (Individual support), all of the partner countires will be treated in a fair way. They will pay only for their children and teachers, so the costs will be equal to the number of guests from each team not the number of countries.

Tuesday - the 29th November 2018

- Logos which were chosen by each partner country before coming for the Transnational Project Meeting in Sweden were presented by each coordinator. Then the coordinator from Poland presented them all in an e-version to see if they are clear enough to use them as the official logo. The teachers voted and the Bulgarian logo was chosen as the project’s official logo.

-Numbers of the teachers and students in the mobilities were decided. Each coordinator said their total number of partipants in each mobility. We also specified the criteria of the students who will be choosen for the mobilities.

Friday - the 30th November 2018

The Polish coordinator presented our project website (https://sites.google.com/view/findingourroots) and she explained how to upload the documents and pictures on it. Each partner decided to upload all the activities to be done during the project to the project website. We also decided to upload the project meetings’ reports to our project website with the “To do list” and deadlines. After that a sample questionnaire for the students was discussed and the 1st Learning, Teacher Training meeting was planned. When the meeting was finished the “Certificates of Attendance” and the “List of attendance” was given by Mrs. Anger , the headmistress of the host school, to the coordinators from each country.

TO DO LIST:

1.The Polish coordinator will share a tutorial how to operate a project website. Deadline: 31.12.2018.

2. The Report of the first meeting in Sweden will be written by the Turkish coordinator and uploaded by Polish coordinator on the project website. Deadline: 31.12.2018.

3. The Polish partner will created the doc to help the Italian team to collect the list of the guests, so as an example of the “Certificate of Attendance” and the “List of Attendance”. Deadline: 14.12.2018

4. Dissemination such as newspaper or school websites articles, tv programmes, informing of the school staff, students, parents and other institutions in our local area of the project about the first meeting of Sweden will be also uploaded on the project website by each partner. Deadline: 08.03.2019.

5. Partners from Greece and Poland will prepare an on-line questionnaire for the students. All of the children involved in the project will answer the questions. Then the Polish coordinator will share the results with the Greek partner who will prepare a summary, upload it on the project website and present on the next meeting. Deadline to do the questionnaires: 31.01.2019

6. Each partner country will prepare materials and 3 recipes of the traditional dishes, to bring them to Italy. A tutorial of the recipes in a film version may be also done and must be uploaded on the project website. During this meeting the children will create an e-cookbook. The partners will also prepare or buy a typical dish and bring to Italy. It will be presented during the international dinner. Deadline 08.03.2018

7. Each team of students will prepare a presentation about the partner’s own school, local area, city, country and educational system. These presentations will be shown in Italy in March but they must be uploaded on the project website before the meeting. Deadline to upload the materials: 08.03.2019.

8. Each partner except the host country will organize Swedish Day activities in their schools. They can prepare meals, songs, dances, posters, games and presntations realted to Sweden. They will also take photos, record films and upload them on the project website until the 8th of March 2019. These activities will be presented during the meeting in Italy.
