The world is globalizing and this has an impact on the loss of identity and neglect of the role of cultural heritage.Among pupils there is an ever-decreasing interest in historical roots and traditions.Even in a very limited circle, there are also children and young people who are under the influence of extreme nationalists and even racists. Our team think that we should work with the students in both directions and take into account the real significance of Europe's cultural and historical heritage. Our town–VelikoTarnovo is a medieval capital of Bulgaria and offers extensive opportunities to illustrate the characteristics of the Bulgarian culture and customs.Exploring the cultural heritage of other countries will help students to be more tolerant and will teach them in a sense of belonging to a community. The team, which is going to work on this project consists of:the headmaster, two deputy headmistresses, the IT specialist, two persons from the school administration stuff and six experienced and hardworking teachers, with different specialty. Some of them are responsible for students from 1st-4th grade and some teach students from 5th-7th grade.Three of them are English teachers. All teachers in this project team have been continually working on their professional development, attending seminars, trainings and actively working on and participating in different projects. All of them are motivated to show their experience and interest in the field of the cultural heritage.
