The exam consists of an abstract presented by the student, followed by a discussion with the professor. Besides factual knowledge, the underpinnings of the student's opinion in a policy context on the subject are important.

In general the development of heritage and heritage sites for tourism is a difficult equation of interests of locals, visitors and professionals. When adding a post-colonial dimension and/or indigenous communities are involved, how can this affect these developments (convergence? clash? complementing?)
