3) Maritime transport: Large scale maritime transport is closely linked to local/regional develoment. Explain why.

4) IURT: SWOT of TEN-T project.

5) Urban transport: Explain nature, causes, consequences and solutions of the urban transport problem.

6) Rural transport: Pulse time table of the Swiss (additional paper from discussion). What does this imply? Would it be managable in the rural areas you are familiar with.

Globalization has had an influence on all modes of transport of freight. What does this imply and explain positive and negative consequences (think in terms of sustainability, as well environmental, social as economic, livability for people, viablilty of business)

Low Cost carriers kunnen bestaan omwille van het feit dat ze externalities niet betalen. Hoe zou jij het probleem van externalities oplossen. In wat zouden in het bijzonder de gevolgen zijn voor toerisme?

Vergelijk ruraal en urban transport. Waarom verschillen ze. Doe dit voor zowel privaat als publiek transport: auto, bus, trein.

Verklaar de horizontale uitbreiding van de portholdings door middel van overnames en fusies. Geef de voordelen/nadelen en gevolgen voor de portholdings en de maatschappij in het algemeen.

Hoe bekijken ontwikkelingslanden, en landen die sterk aan het ontwikkelen zijn de kwestie van transport in hun landen? Is er een groot verschil tussen de Europese, proberen ze het anders aan te pakken? Leg uit aan de hand van concrete voorbeelden.
