Last day with my English class at el colegio
It is crazy how fast this semester has flown! I’ve been keeping so busy and packing my schedule as my time here is coming to an end. This week it finally hit me that I will be back in the US very soon. I had my last day of volunteering in the English classes at Colegio San Jose, which was a sad goodbye! I had so much fun getting to know the students and teachers, and I gained a lot of experience preparing and teaching lessons. I got lots of hugs and the kids cheered for me as I left!
I spent lots of time with my friends this week. I have no idea when I’ll get to see them next, so I have been doing something with someone every day! That means lots of gelato! Aiden, Yazmin and I got gelato one night and spent another night by the river with some ducks and geese. Jess and I got chai lattes while doing some wine shopping for class.
Another night of gelato
My painting for class ended up looking just like my photography professor!
My photography class with the guest speaker - Sergio Castañeira
Classes were also especially fun this week. We had a fantastic photographer come in to speak to us for my photography class. In my Artistic Monuments class we visited the Plaza de España and Parque María Luisa, and in my painting class we ended up visiting some of the same sites! I have gotten very close with some of my classmates so we always have a lot of fun, and the professors are all wonderful. It’s amazing that I’ve had this much fun in classes while also learning a lot!
