Writing Narrative Endings

Writing Narrative Endings

Writing a great ending is key. Endings leave a final impression and bring closure for the reader. Therefore, students need to be able to recognize the types of endings that exist and practice writing them. An ending should be consistent with the tone and style of the rest of piece and match the intent of the writer to offer a clear answer to the story's conflict, end the story with a surprise or twist, or leave the audience feeling sad or happy.
