Supporting Multilingual Learners with Projects

Scaffolding a project doesn't have to be hard! Here are a few ideas:

1. Start with accessing background knowledge and recently learned information. Use a graphic organizer to collect this information.

2. Provide essential vocabulary.

3. Scaffold the research process and stress the importance of citing sources.

4. Give students options to share their learning in various ways through text, visuals, and audio.

5. Provide a checklist for students to review their projects and collaborate with peers.
