Listening

Listening is often the least taught skill, but it shouldn't be! Listening is essential to vocabulary development, reading comprehension, and the acquisition of syntax and grammar rules.

Listening skills are also indicative of academic success in college. Further, people who are better listeners are more successful in the workplace and are regarded as kinder people -- and better friends.

So, if listening isn't a focus in your classroom, we think you should reconsider.
