The ABCs of Writing

Whether it's for education or social interactions, being able to write well can make a significant difference in how effectively and accurately English learners can express themselves in English and excel in their studies. The infographic below is a self-checklist for students and EL teachers with reminders of what to focus on when creating a writing piece in English. It can easily be modified for various EL proficiency levels, genres being taught, and specific focus of the unit.  

The second slide lists 'Descriptive techniques', gives examples of what to focus on when students 'Organize writing according to genres', and explains the New-P, New-P rule.
