Choice is essential and leads to greater learning outcomes. Options create personalized learning experiences for all learners, especially MLs. Choice allows MLs to engage with the material that best meets their needs and interests while increasing engagement, investment, and motivation. Additionally, choice leads to greater learner autonomy, an essential aspect of lifelong learning. When learners are able to decide about their learning path, they develop skills and confidence in making choices and taking responsibility for their learning.
