A unique item that allows the user to create a superheated toggle for their melee-based Vault items (Paperweights, Claws, Stinger, Troj-wire Yaldabaoth, Kickblades, Origami.) It implements a series of superconductors on the interior of the melees, making them slightly more brittle and malleable when superheated. These superconductors run to a duo of low-power CO2-He batteries. Adds 5% chrome to each affected melee Vault item (if on both arms, 10%.)
Superheats melee vault items, inflicting burns.
Takes an action to heat up.
The electric sibling of the Tempered Overclock, the Energized Melee Overclock allows a user to electrify a melee Vault Item at a low voltage. It utilizes two small LiFePO4 batteries, running through conductive coils to create a small field of electricity within the melee. Compared to the Tempered Overclock, the Energized Overclock is much more susceptible to backfiring on the user, due to electricity's one major flaw of finding the path of least resistance (<3 roll.) it adds 2% chrome to each affected melee Vault item (if on both arms, 4%.)
Electrifies melee vault items, potentially stunning.
Easy to zap yourself.
Derived from the unique abilities of the “Tornado” Mauler sledgehammer that’s been making the rounds among the Chromeskulls, the Tornado Overclock mimics its success with three miniaturized versions of its pneumatic spikes implanted into the Paperweights vault item. It utilizes a very similar pneumatics system as found in the Tornado Mauler, requiring more space than previously provided by the paperweights (the Paperweights now take up the entire lower arm.) These pneumatics provide extra “oomph” with each punch, and pierce the protection of SPL2 armor and skin alike.
Devastating, armor-penetrating pneumatic spike.
Takes an action for the spike to be able to be launched again.
Replaces the two fangs with a pair of prosthetic jaws lined with sharp metal teeth, and a pneumatic capability similar to the “Tornado” Mauler sledgehammer. Each row of teeth acts as a singular unit and upon activation clash together violently through a pneumatic release system on anything between them, giving the jaws the capacity to pierce SPL2 armor and deliver a devastating bite.
Allows combative vault items to be concealed within the arm. Melees are tucked into prosthetics, firearms pop out through side plates, and full arm replacements are housed in a non-functional outer shell resembling the limb. It takes an action for concealed items to pop out before they can be used.
