The Kirker Bridge was named after Governor Thomas Kirker who lived nearby. The Bridge was built in 1890 and has a single span that crosses the East Fork of Eagle Creek.
Sixty-three feet long, the Kirker Bridge is constructed with a multiple kingpost truss. The Bridge had additional structural support installed in 1950. The interior has diagonal tie rods added to encass the truss. Steel head beams were also added that act as the bottom of the roof truss. (Covered Bridges Today 1989 by Brenda Krekeler)
