Backbencher Pub

The Backbencher is a famous Wellington institution. Situated right opposite Parliament, it’s been caricaturing New Zealand politicians for many years - though if it ever was like Spitting Image, it's a lot gentler these days. 

My photos here are a bit out of date - the characters should now be Luxon, Willis, Collins, Seymour and Peters - but from the previous government we have here the Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, Finance Minister Grant Robertson and a few others … oh, and Winston Peters again. He never goes away.
