The Vision of the Columbia Heights Educational Campus
The CHEC community is committed to multicultural and multilingual academic and career education. Because many of our students come from disadvantaged social, economic, educational and linguistic backgrounds, we realize the importance of addressing those needs as well as individual learning styles. We view learning as a lifelong process and believe that everyone has the ability to achieve and excel. We strive to create a nurturing atmosphere that promotes creativity and self-expression. We view language development as the cornerstone of a curriculum which develops necessary skills for academic, personal and career achievement. Our mission is to help every student progress down the road to success.
