IF IT IS TO BE, IT IS UP TO ME. I AM POWERFUL BEYOND MEASURE. I POSESS PRIDE, POISE, PERSEVERANCE & THE RELENTLESS PURSUIT OF EXCELLENCE FOR MYSELF...
In order to maintain our building, furniture and equipment in excellent condition, and preserve it for future students and faculty, we have established requirements and policies for the maintenance of and proper use of rooms, furniture and equipment. We have an outstanding maintenance staff, but there are few of them, and many people using the building. In order to make sure we are supporting their work, it is important that everyone adhere to the following policies.
In order to preserve the wood and synthetic wood surfaces, nothing can be taped or attached in any way to the doors, cabinets, or cabinet doors in any of the classrooms.
Nothing can be taped or attached to the windows, or the door glass.
Nothing can be taped or attached to the whiteboards. Magnets can be used to attach things to the whiteboards, if necessary. The corkboard with metal clips allows you to clip, tack or staple items above the whiteboards temporarily.
Any posting of paper or other items on the wall should be done with putty, which will be provided by the main office.
Student work should be posted, but excessive paper, and posterboards, cannot be posted or piled in the room, since this constitutes a fire hazard.
All furniture and equipment in the room is on your inventory, is your responsibility, and it cannot be moved or traded with another staff member, unless the proper inventory procedure is followed and approved by Mr. William Gallion, the Facilities Manager.
In order to prevent rodent and insect infestations, eating and drinking (other than water), is to take place in the work room on each floor, one of the teachers’ lounges, or the cafeteria. Neither students nor faculty can eat or drink (other than water) in the classrooms.
Thank you for your cooperation with the above, and we look forward to a great school year!
