The Comprehensive School Plan (CSP) is developed by all DCPS schools. A schools' plan should prioritize initiatives and interventions to reflect the most current needs of their students when data reflect the need to do so. School's goals and objectives will be posted online and monitored; progress will be reported. CSP aims to address the following questions:
What research-based strategies, aligned withthe DCPS Effective Schools Framework and the Teaching and Learning Framework will support the school's student achievement priorities?
What performance indicators will be used to measure the effectiveness of these strategies?
How will schools use their Title ! funds to address the required elements of a Title 1 school wide or Targeted Assistance program to improve student achievement?
For the 2022-23 school year, CHEC has articulated the following priority goals, which are:

Each school in DCPS maintains a School Advisory Board (SAB), which plays a leading role in articulating the vision of the school, planning for the use of resources, and implementing a plan toward the vision. The SAB, in consultation with the Principal, determines the composition of the School Improvement Team that assists in completing the Comprehensive School Plan amendments. The SAB is consists of parents, students, teachers, community members, and administrators. The teacher, parent, and student members are chosen by election from among the constituent groups. The Principal and Building Representative sit on the team, and the team selects community members.
The committee meets monthly, and the meetings are open to the entire school community. A notebook with minutes and agendas is kept in the main office. A major role of the team is the development of the school’s annual budget and improvement plan.
