In order to support social emotional learning standards and personalize learning, each student has a special individual assigned to him or her, who makes sure that he/they/she is getting the best possible education, and staying on track with all of their studies, AN ADVISOR. The Advisory program meets daily. Teachers and most staff members serve as advisors.  Each staff advisor has a group of students, for which he/they/she is responsible.  Two advisors per cohort will try to be accommodated. In these sessions, students discuss goals, dreams, ideas and problems. They assess their progress in grades and on tests. An important part of the advisor/ advisee program is to introduce, prepare and support students for the their future career and college pathway.  The ADVISORY LESSONS will be posted and available via the pathway clever.com to access CANVAS platform where the ADVISORY Course will be available for each ADVISOR and ADVISEE group.

In Advisory students:

¨ Contribute to their school community (peers, teachers, staff, and administrators).

¨ Show pride in the school.

¨ Care for the building and the environment.

¨ Show school spirit.

¨ Handle academic expectations and challenges with confidence.

¨ Students negotiate positive relationships with peers, teachers, staff, and administrators.

¨ Students identify and pursue various interests.

¨ Begin Career and College Readiness

Independently or with advisor, students can use the College Board site and NAVIANCE site.
