IF IT IS TO BE, IT IS UP TO ME. I AM POWERFUL BEYOND MEASURE. I POSESS PRIDE, POISE, PERSEVERANCE & THE RELENTLESS PURSUIT OF EXCELLENCE FOR MYSELF...
As teachers preparing our students for the professional world, we model professionalism in our dress. Neckwear for men is encouraged but not required. Students are required to wear appropriate student attire or a uniform shirt in order to demonstrate their readiness for the world of careers, and we as faculty and staff should support this by modeling appropriate dress. For reasons of both professionalism and safety, do not wear flip flops.
In general, consider:
Comfort- you move around a lot and do not sit often in this work.
Professionalism- You will work with a variety of stake holders-- students, parents, school based staff, district personnel. We will often have visitors from the community and abroad. We are also hosts and ambassadors to teacher exchange programs. Your dress shows respect and regard for them all.
Please do not sit on the tables or desks, as the furniture is for generational use.
