As you have all been informed, the DC Benchmark Assessment System (DCBAS) --or an equivalent-- is an interim assessment of students’ skills on basic skills in reading and math as reported for Adequate Yearly Progress under No Child Left Behind. All students in grade 10 will be taking the DC BAS or an equivalent next week. Students will take the DC Benchmark Assessment System in on March 1 and March 2.
Middle School- ANET
All 6, 7, and 8th graders will take the ANET or equivalent.
Tuesday - Reading
Wednesday- Math
High School-9th and 10th grades
Students in 9th and 10th grades will take the DCBAS or equivalent in reading and math.
They will test as follows:
Tuesday - 9th graders- Math Tuesday - 9th graders- Reading
Wednesday- 9th graders- Reading Wednesday- 10th graders- Math
High School -11th and 12th grades
All 11th and 12th graders will take AP exams on Tuesday and Wednesday if they have more than one AP class. For students who are not testing Wednesday, they will report as indicated in the sub room change sheet to their regularly scheduled class. If their teacher is proctoring or assisting in DC BAS / ANET or it's equivalent, then the teacher's class will be assigned a sub. Plans should be left with Ms. Doctor HS or Ms. Dora Lemus (MS) by Monday.
