The Chantilly Chargers put on a spectacular show at the Lake Braddock Invitational to kick off the new year! The women’s team led the charge with a dominant presence in the field events and sprints, as well as an outstanding freshman mile win; securing a top-tier finish. The men’s team made their mark with a gold-medal sprint performance and the jumps.

What an incredible way to close out the year! The Chantilly Track & Field team dominated the PR Holiday Invitational, with the Women’s Team securing a team victory! The Chargers showcased exceptional depth, scoring points across sprints, jumps, and hurdles. The Men’s team also put up a valiant effort, securing a solid finish with multiple scoring performances.

Friends of Indoor Track Results
The Chantilly Chargers continued their strong winter season with a dominant showing at the Friends of Indoor Track Invitational.
The Women’s Team totaled 90 points, powered by an outstanding field-event performance that accounted for 75 points, earning a “virtual” 2nd place finish.
The Men’s Team earned a “virtual” 3rd place finish with 63 points, showcasing excellent balance across sprints, relays, and field events.

🏆 Meet Highlights
Apria Smith: A "Triple Threat" performance! Apria was the high-point scorer of the meet, winning Gold in both the Long Jump and Triple Jump, while adding a Bronze medal in the 500m Dash.
Christopher Hwang: Unstoppable. Christopher continued his streak in the Shot Put, winning the event by over 17 feet with a throw of 57-01.75.
Julian Carter: Leading the Men's field squad, Julian took home Gold in the Long Jump and added a Bronze in the High Jump.
Field Event Frenzy: The Chargers owned the vertical jumps. Ryan Herbert and Lauren DeShields placed 2-3 in the Women's Pole Vault, while Anthony Melendez-Aguilar, Jace Byrd, and Lincoln Swope went 3-5-6 in the Men's Pole Vault.

At the TJMS Meet #2, the Women’s Team were crowned Champions, scoring a massive 153.50 points. The Men’s Team fought hard for a 2nd Place finish, securing 129.50 points.

What an incredible start to the season! At the TJMS Meet #1, Both the Men’s and Women’s teams secured 1st Place finishes, bringing home the team titles by significant margins.

We had one athlete shatter the Virginia State Standard in our very first meet.
Christopher Hwang (Men's Shot Put): Christopher launched a massive throw of 52-08.00, placing 2nd overall. Not only was this a fantastic score, but he also broke the VA 6A State Standard of 50-03.25.
The men’s side saw incredible depth, including a clean sweep of the podium in the 3200m and dominance in the sprints.
