NATIONAL CONFERENCE ON COMPUTER SCIENCE AND SECURITY
(April 5-6, 2013)
Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Institute of Technology, Vasad is organizing a National Nonference on Computer Science & Security (COCSS 2013) on 5th and 6th April 2013.
The conference is broadly based on theme “Computer Science & Security†and will cover various sub-themes as mentioned below. We take pride to invite researcher to contribute a research paper relevant to the theme and sub-theme. The selected papers will be considered for publication in the proceedings with ISBN no: 978-81-923462-0-5.
Computer security is a field of computer science concerned with the control of risks related to computer use. The means traditionally taken to realize this objective is to attempt to create a trusted and secure computing platform, designed so that agents (users or programs) can only perform actions that have been allowed.
The objective of security includes protection of information and property from theft, corruption, or natural disaster, while allowing the information and property to remain accessible and productive to its intended users. The term security means the collective processes and mechanisms by which sensitive and valuable information and services are protected from publication, tampering or collapse by unauthorized activities or untrustworthy individuals and unplanned events respectively. The strategies and methodologies of computer security often differ from most other computer technologies because of its somewhat elusive objective of preventing unwanted computer behavior instead of enabling wanted computer behavior.
