With the aim of identifying unique and common epitopes across all the strategies, comparisons were made.
Table displaying the logic and result achieved by strategies:
Strategy 1 vs 2:
From this comparison, some protein were found to be retained and rose to the top of shortlisted candidates. It includes XP_809166.1 mucin-associated surface protein (MASP) & XP_818708.1 trans-sialidase .
Strategy 1 vs 3:
As mentioned above, Strategy 1 and Strategy 3 comprises of same filters, they have resulted in to same shortlisted proteins.
Strategy 1 vs 4:
With the binarization of protein features, the top ranking feature candidates were compared and we have not found any similar protein.
Strategy 1 vs 5:
No proteins were identified as common protein vaccine candidate.
Following Image depicts top 8 proteins in each of the strategies:
It denotes Strategy 3 has no new proteins. On the other hand, XP_818708.1 trans-sialidase & XP_816522.1 (Mucin TcMUCII) were found to be conserved in Strategy 1, 3 & 5.
