-other general signs of injury and illness
If the mole or shrew has been attacked by a cat, dog, or other animal, looks injured near a road, or shows any of the signs of injury and illness, contact a wildlife rehabilitator.
Signs that a mole or shrew is orphaned: Moles and shrews will be small and pink as babies. Moles need their mothers 5-6 weeks and shrews need their mothers around a month. If you see a baby mole or shrew without their mother and the mother does not return, contact a wildlife rehabilitator.
