Use extra caution with large mammals, like lynxes.
-obvious blood or wounds
-unable to walk
-injury to legs
-lethargy
-other general signs of injury and illness
If the lynx has been attacked by an animal, looks injured near a road, or shows any of the signs of injury and illness, contact a wildlife rehabilitator.
Signs that a lynx is orphaned: If a baby lynx is seen without their mother, allow the mother time to return to take care of the baby on their own. If the baby becomes weak, shows any sign of injury or illness, or the parents are clearly dead, contact a wildlife rehabilitator.
