Use extra caution with large mammals, like bears.

-other general signs of injury and illness
Injured or ill bears may show signs of stress such as swaying, pacing, or mutilating themselves.
If the bear has been attacked by an animal, looks injured near a road, or shows any of the signs of injury and illness, contact a wildlife rehabilitator.
Signs that a bear is orphaned: Bears are very protective of their cubs. If a baby bear is left alone, allow the mother time to return to the baby on their own. If the baby becomes weak, shows any sign of injury or illness, or the parents are clearly dead, contact a wildlife rehabilitator.
