Use extra caution with large mammals, like wolves.
-obvious blood or wounds
-unable to walk
-injuries to legs
-discharge from eye, nose, or mouth
-crusty fur or fur loss
-other general signs of injury and illness
If the wolf has been attacked by an animal, looks injured near a road, or shows any of the signs of injury and illness, contact a wildlife rehabilitator.
Signs that a wolf is orphaned: Wolves travel in large groups. If a baby wolf is seen alone, allow the group time to take care of the baby. If the baby becomes weak, shows any sign of injury or illness, or the parents are clearly dead, contact a wildlife rehabilitator.Â
