Christmas Craft
We have busy little elves making Christmas crafts to sell. Here is a sneak peak at what we have been creating...
We have been learning to double and half numbers up to 20. We used the numicon to help us!
Check out our fine motor skills! We had to follow the pattern being really careful to place the beads and buttons on the lines.
We went searching for some leaves to make some Autumn art. We had to find lots of different leaves that were all sorts of colours and shapes. We picked our 4 favourites and used them to create little autumn creatures!
We marked Children in Need 2025 with a pyjama / dress down day! We designed our own Pudsey Bear and took part in the Strictly 25 Step Dance Challenge.
Our topic this term is looking at sound and vibrations. This week we explored different sounds through musical instruments. We even had a go at designing and creating our own instruments, especially thinking about what sound we wanted to create.
This term we are looking at shape in numeracy and this week we have been focussing on 2D shape. We've been very busy investigating different 2D shapes both inside and outside the classroom and learning new describing words for them!
The Puffins celebrated Halloween with a super fun whole school Halloween Morning! We played spooky corners, made a giant paper-ring skeleton and had a dance party!
Welcome back everyone! We have had a super start to our school year and welcomed 6 fantastic new P1s!
We started off our year with learning all about the colour monster and our emotions. We had lots of fun exploring the ideas from the story through play.
We have been busy in the Puffin class getting to know each other and our classroom! We have made some funky Puffins for our classroom door, and decorated our cloakroom with self portaits.
Space
Our topic this term is all about space! We had fun making some paper mache planets!
We had lots of fun experimenting with tin foil and paint to make craters on our Moons!
