Our Digital Leaders this sessions are the P6s. They have been working hard on online safety and digital awareness. We looked at our current digital policy and pulled out key points that we wished to share with the whole school.
They were excellent at putting the information forward in a clear and engaging way with a little quiz at the end to check for understanding! 😀
Well done P6!
The P7s designed and created a fantastic Sponsor Event for the whole school this week! There were obstacle courses, shuttle runs, tennis games, beat the goalie, skipping and star jumps!
P1-6 loved it and were very complimentary of the P7 Leadership skills, they were kind, understanding and supportive!
The P7 had an awesome few days with Kingussie and Newtonmore Primary on their residential trip! Thank you to Alltnacriche for having us! :)
This year we visited the Newton Sciernce fair at The Wildlife park. We went to the new Education centre to work with Scott. The theme for this year was Robots and coding. We had a great time working with ipads, programimg instructions and watching the robots work.

Have a look at the creative efforts of the Capercaillie class who have come together to help each other find the perfect book! As part of our Literacy curriculum, pupils created thoughtful recommendations to guide each other towards their next 'best-fit' book!
Peer recommendations encourage a love for reading and enhance evaluation skills. By sharing their insights, our P6/7s are supporting one another and building on our strong reading community within Alvie Primary!
As part of Health and Wellbeing we discussed our hopes and dreams, and thought about who we are as people through our Values at Alvie Primary. P6/7 recently embarked on a creative journey exploring their individuality through intricate black-and-white line drawings!
We're thrilled to showcase the incredible talent of our P6/7 pupils, who have recently completed a stunning series of watercolour paintings featuring the majestic Capercaillie!
Over the past few weeks, our young artists have embraced their creativity, exploring the use of line and colour to bring their ideas to life.
Here are some highlights from their inspiring artwork!
The Capercaillies (P6/7) have been working hard on building a team ethos - as a school family, a class and in their cooperative learning groups.
We learn in lots of different ways: cooperatively, pairs, trios and individually.
The pupils have enjoyed working together to help plan our learning for the term.
